On Thursday we went on a tour of a dairy farm in Meridian. It was really cool to see and learn about how our milk magically appears on the shelves of the stores. They showed the kids the big barrels of milk that get transferred to plants like Marigold. Then they took us back to where they hook the cows up to the milk pump. It's pretty crazy that it only takes seven minutes to milk a cow and in that seven minutes you get over a hundred gallons of milk from that one cow! They showed us where the baby calves live until they are old enough to go with the herd. That was Kailie's favorite part of the tour. I think Kobi's favorite part was laughing when the cows went poop or pee.
